The future of the scene, today
What we do with the heart conveys passion, purity, honesty and determination. A beating heart is synonymous with life, pulsing to a rhythm, a vibration, a measure of BPM.
Mostra is a project that comes straight from the heart. An independent, small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music which emerged as a counterpoint to the macro-festivals and the overcrowded, commercial and impersonal offerings of other large events held in Barcelona. We are a festival consciously linking ourselves to the socio-cultural background and artistic fabric of our city.
The Mostra project was conceived during the period of our harshest confinement from Covid-19, a time full of uncertainties in which culture came to a complete standstill. We wanted to celebrate life again with a new cultural proposal for Barcelona which included an electronic music festival and many more complementary activities throughout the year. 2022 was the year in which we returned to dance, embrace each other, share experiences and, above all, enjoy live music at a festival.
But Mostra returned something more: a project whose values come straight from the heart, and will be celebrating its sixth edition in 2027.

Hear the episodesCreation of original content in radio podcast format, which is periodically published through social media with the aim of giving visibility to city projects and discussing current topics in the scene and its agents, such as artists and clubs. It also serves as a platform for spreading new music releases.

Read the protocolMostra is a space of respect where all expressions and identities are welcome. It is a project created from the heart, based on mutual care and embracing diversity. We want everyone at the festival to be able to dance, create connections, and enjoy music in the most welcoming way possible.
Guest Country
See the countriesThe name Mostra is a reflection on what's going on in Barcelona, We always try to give space in our line-up to artists who live in the city or are closely linked to Barcelona. At the same time, Mostra is a bridge to art, film and theatre mostras - showcases - so each edition will focus on a guest country by adding artists to the roster from that particular region.
