Emilia Grima

Emilia Grima is a visual artist and DJ from Gijón, Asturias. Her sets are rooted in a ritualistic approach to low-end psychedelia, traversing the darker territories of bass music through polyrhythmic structures, experimental drum & bass, druidstep, IDM and halftime.

In recent years, she has performed at venues such as Garage Noord (Amsterdam), Outra Cena (Lisbon), Aelipse Festival (France), Hutte In The Forest (France), Tengu (Dublin) or Human Razzmatazz (Barcelona). She has also been featured on radio stations like Egregore (Toulouse), Rinse (Paris), Operator (Rotterdam), Gimic (Brussels) or Retreat (Oslo).

Emilia Grima is the label manager of 95 Open Tabs, a label exploring the ritualistic edges of experimental bass music. Dedicated to druidstep seekers, the imprint is driven by a deep interest in sound design, low-end psychedelia and intricate sonic textures. Its catalogue includes releases by Herbalistek, RM Estali, Alohn, Andrae Durden, Smogo and Comm.

Emilia also co-runs and curates Refractor Festival, a DIY 3 day gathering focused on cutting-edge experimental music, low-end psychedelia, community and nature. She is also part of Convoluted Mental Mirror alongside Jan Swam. Under this alias, they craft immersive sets, blending complex percussive elements in a hypnotic flow, creating a deep and absorbing sonic experience.
