Tobias. Doltz.

Tobias. Doltz. is a new collaborative project between two new friends, Tobias and Doltz.

Collaboration has long formed a core for Tobias, leading to numerous projects such as Dandy Jack with Sieg Über Die Sonne, his live improvised techno project with Atom™, and his experimental work with Max Loderbauer as NSI. As a musician, performer, and sound engineer, he believes deeply in sound as a shared exploratory practice. For over three decades, Tobias has worked at the center of the German electronic scene, constantly exploring and pushing the boundaries of sound.

Doltz, based in Japan, began exploring his boundaries of sound first as a drummer in a hardcore punk band and then as a producer in delicate ambient albums. His experimental ambient releases have a pulsating sense of life to them, a trait he then applied to techno, such as on his “Inception EP” and new album “Final Trace”, two fierce records for DJ Nobu’s label Bitta. Over the past few years Doltz has won a loyal following in Japan and abroad for his powerful and expressive live performances.

As Tobias. Doltz., these two highly instinctive producers have released two brilliant albums for Delsin, “Versus” and “Frontiers of Science”, albums that explore the full spectrum of electronic rhythm, space, and sound.
