Clara Brea

Biography

Clara Brea (Madrid, 1989) develops her work at the intersection between sound art, field recordings and electronic music. Her album Wetland (a product of the Eufonic Lopati residency and self-released) is an audiovisual piece in collaboration with Elena Brea in which she portrays and reimagines the soundscape of the Ebro Delta.

The work has been reinterpreted live at events such as CALMA, Festival de Arte y Ciencia (UPNA), DC Listening Lounge (Smithsonian Museum), Eufonic, and Sense (London), and was the germ of an album in collaboration with Son of Chi (Chi Factory), The Wetland Remixes released on the British label Astral Industries in 2022.

Clara has participated in online festivals such as Ruido Virico and the CAAMsonora cycle of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno, and her two latest works, 'madrid concrete' and 'vanishing madrid' are the fruits of her time spent at the Matadero Madrid.
