Maribel Tafur

Maribel Tafur is a Peruvian composer, multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer based in Barcelona, whose proposal explores ambient, downtempo, experimental and classical piano training.

She founded her project in 2013, creating a timeless universe of immersive soundscapes, hypnotic textures and captivating rhythms. Her work offers unique sensory experiences where her Peruvian roots and the electronica converge, bridging tradition with the avant-garde.

Her inspiration comes from biodiversity, landscapes, the sonorities of the Andes and her family archive. Her work includes 2 albums 4 ep's, singles for several labels and compositions written for film, installations, immersive experiences and compilations.

Maribel Tafur is an ambassador of sound earth legacy, an NGO and label dedicated to preserving the sounds of the earth and supporting pioneer scientific environmental projects.
