Anthony Child and Daniel Bean formed The Transcendence Orchestra in 2015 for the express purpose of investigating the effect of tone on consciousness. Described as “Like La Monte Young and The Incredible String Band stuck in an elevator”, the duo navigate breaches in time and space, seeking connection with latent source diagrams and holy presences. 

Since their debut release on the Editions Mego label in 2017 a further three albums have been released, including ‘Dreams, Waking Thoughts And Incidents’, the first to feature on the duo’s own Old Technology Records label. They’ve also released a split tape with Ali Wade on the Frequency Domain label in 2021. 

Child and Bean have performed their entirely improvised musical ceremonies around the world since 2016. Venues have included churches, tunnels and yurts as well as renowned festivals such as Freerotation, Atonal and Dekmantel. They are on occasion joined in performing their ceremonies by fellow explorer, adept listener and member of GNOD, Paddy Shine and the renowned sound artist C. Lavender.
